Audrey Dascomb RDE

Audrey
Dascomb is a Registered Dance Educator (RDE) - the ONLY
RDE in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and one of only 40
worldwide. She also graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor
of Fine Arts Degree in Dance. RDEs are chosen based on superior
teaching methods, style, content, technique, safety and
ability. She has Teacher Certification K-12 and has taught
dance in the private sector as well as in private and public
school systems. Audrey has written her own curricula to
help train future dance educators: Creative Movement
for Children - a comprehensive curriculum for ages 3
and up incorporating time, space, energy, locomotion, and
body awareness; Dance Lessons Made Easy - a curriculum
with weekly lessons in the disciplines of ballet, tap, and
jazz for ages 4 through 8. Audrey has also developed her
own Dance Teacher Preparation Course which includes
study in dance education, dance history, music theory, choreography,
dance instruction, teaching methods, anatomy, and child
development.
Audrey's greatest pleasure
is watching the children grow in dance from year to year.

Angela Ryan
Angela
currently teaches at Dance Expressions Unlimited in the
areas of jazz, modern, and hip hop. She earned her Bachelor
of Fine Arts Degree in Dance from Temple University with
an emphasis on modern and choreography. Upon graduation
Angela spent time in Philadelphia performing in several
professional dance venues and teaching dance at area dance
studios and recreation centers. She also worked in the Mental
Health field serving as a mentor to children with behavior
problems. Angela really enjoys teaching and watching the
students grow and shine.
Lauren Boucher
Lauren
Boucher has studied dance under the instruction of Audrey
Dascomb, RDE since 2001. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in
May 2010 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance from
Lake Erie College, where she learned current techniques
that allow dancers to move more efficiently and avoid injury.
While at Lake Erie, Lauren studied with several artists-in-residence,
including Cha-Lee Chan, Helanius Wilkins, Troika Ranch,
and Habib Iddrisu. She also studied tap under Sarah Savelli
for four years. Lauren has taught all ages and levels and
enjoys working with the Dance Expressions Ensemble. Lauren
is excited to return to Dance Expressions Unlimited to share
her love of dance with her students.
Gina Cronin
Gina Cronin was classically trained in ballet as a scholarship
student at the Studio School of Dance in Shirley, MA under
the Royal Academy of Dance curriculum prior to attending
the Boston Conservatory as a dance major. She then danced
with the Hampshire Dance company while finishing a Communications
degree at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Gina
has also studied jazz at the Jeanette Neil Studio in Boston
and appeared in and choreographed numerous musicals for
local theatre groups.
Leia Friedman
Leia
Friedman has studied dance under the instruction of Audrey
Dascomb RDE since 1997. During this time she has attended
numerous master classes with such dance legends as Jennifer
Savelli of FOSSE, Pennsylvania Ballet, and the movie CHICAGO;
tap classes with several members of Bring in 'Da Noise,
Bring in 'Da Funk; hip hop classes with Carl Alleyne of
Triiiplethreat Entertainment and Fadayz of Losst Unnown;
and jazz classes with Dustienne Rose as well as Adrienne
Hawkins of Impulse Dance Company. In addition to her studies,
Leia also enjoyed several years of performances with New
England Civic Ballet, including the Nutcracker, Sleeping
Beauty, and Cinderella. She also has proudly participated
in twelve annual performances with Dance Expressions Unlimited.
While her expertise is in tap, Leia thoroughly enjoys teaching
Jazz and Hip-Hop as well. Leia is a psychology major at
the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and plans to continue
on with her education to earn a Master's Degree in Clinical
Psychology. She is a President of Psi Chi, the university
Psychology Honor Society, a member of the UML Honors Program,
and a Dean's List Scholar. Her passion for the art of dance
and education inspired her to become a dance teacher, and
she hopes that her enthusiasm inspires passion and drive
in her students as well.
Rebecca Shelton
Rebecca
Shelton began her ballet training in Acton, Massachusetts
at The Acton School of Ballet when she was 3 years old.
She continued her studies at Middlesex Ballet Academy in
Pepperell, Massachusetts, and later, The Academy of Ballet
Arts in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. At the age of 17 she
started training with Jackie Cronsburg, Carter Alexander,
Jessica Wilson, and Adam Ludars on full scholarship. While
there she was asked to join The Massachusetts Youth Ballet
directed by Jackie Cronsburg. In 2005 she attended Orlando
Ballet's summer intensive on partial scholarship and was
asked to stay and join the company by Orlando Ballet's director
Fernando Bujones.
In addition to attending Orlando Ballet's
summer intensive she also attended American Academy of Ballet,
Boston Ballet, and The Kirov Academy of Ballet where she
was able to train with Oleg Vinogradov, Alla Sisova, and
Vladimir Djouloukhade. She also studied at North Carolina
Dance Theatre with Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux, Marianna Tcherkassky,
Armando Luna and Terrence Orr on partial scholarship and
at Ballet Workshop of New England with Adam Ludars, Truman
Finney, Kennet O'berly, Gloria Govrin and Sandra D'Amelio.
Leslie Breen
Leslie
Breen has been dancing for 25 years! She holds a Degree
in Fine Arts Dance from Scottsdale Community College in
Arizona. She is a K-12 certified dance teacher in Arizona
and has certification from Dance Educators of America. She
has been teaching dance full time in public schools in Arizona
for eight years along with coaching two award winning high
school dance teams. She has attended the Rhee Gold Dance
Life Teachers Conference and several workshops directed
by Bill Evans and Gwen Verdon. She has studied dance at
Connecticut College, UMASS Amherst, NYU and North Carolina
School of the Arts. She has recently studied pom technique
and has fun bringing those elements of dance into her instruction.
Leslie is excited to be back in MA and to add her West Coast
experiences, ideas and techniques to that of the East Coast.
