to Sarah Tassinari, winner of the Beach Week contest
along with Tasha and Annie Widmayer. Their outfits were
complete with snorkel gear, floaties, rings, beach pails,
shovels, sand toys, bathing suits and beach balls!

Unlimited this past dance season.
Tessa Bukowiec was awarded Performer
of the Year.

Dancer.

Spring 2009

We have had an exciting
year at Dance Expressions Unlimited. The DEE performed
at the Project Santa benefit in November. They also performed
their annual Happy Holidays Concert in December benefitting
area food pantries and the Toys for Tots drive. Additionally,
various workshops were offered monthly to enhance the dance
education experience for the dancers.
Our 60s Spirit Week was
a lot of fun. Winners included: Jamie Grant, Jillian Grant,
Rachel Bean, Rebecca Smith, Madison Boudreau, and Megan
Hawkins.
National Dance Week entries were fabulous
this year with stories, paintings, and drawings. Winning
participants included: Jamie Grant, Deanna Boucher, Tiffany
Jurewicz, Caitlin Geary, Danielle Walsh, Jillian Grant,
Katie Fossey, and Sarah Morris.
October 2008

Dance Expressions Unlimited
sponsored the opening weekend of High School Musical
3 - Senior Year at Chunky's in Nashua the weekend
of Oct. 24th-26th. Rachel Bean, Shannon Jackson,
and Sarah Tassinari joined the resident performing
company, Dance Expressions Ensemble (DEE) and performed
throughout the weekend at Chunky's to promote the movie.
The DEE also produced their annual Halloween Party this
same weekend. DEE members are: Ashley Belleville, Deanna
Boucher, Katie O'Connor, Tessa Bukowiec, Megan Hawkins,
Madison Boudreau, Jessica Miceli, Sophia Ryan, Amanda Kinsella,
Tiffany Jurewicz, Katie Fossey, Amanda Untracht, Jamie Grant,
and Danielle Walsh.
August 2008

Danielle (DJ) Walsh
studied tap with Derrick Grant and
Josh Hilberman at the Beantown Tap Fest.
Derrick Grant, a native of Boston, was an original
company member and Dance Captain for Bring in
Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk on Broadway.
He recreated Savion Glover's choreography and
starred in the role of 'da Beat for the first
National Tour. Josh Hilberman has performed alongside
most every hoofer of note. He was a principal
dancer in Manhattan Tap and has performed in
Brenda Bufalino's Other Tap Dance Orchestra.
Danielle Boucher
will attend Marywood University in the fall to
study speech pathology.
Elyse Wayne will attend Mount Wachusett
Community College in the fall to study criminal
justice.

Dancers took a series of master classes
to celebrate National Dance Week. Susie Michaud
of Toe Tappers taught a tap class; Connor
Casavan taught a jazz class and a body conditioning
class; Carl Alleyne of Triiiplethreat
Entertainment and Hip Hop Empowerment
taught a hip hop class; and Adrienne Hawkins
of Impulse Dance Company taught a jazz
class.

Lauren Boucher (alumnae)
studied tap with renowned teachers Sarah Savelli,
Jumaane Taylor, Jared Grimes, and Ayodele Casel
in Cleveland as part of the Tappy Holidays Celebration
(winter 2008).
Emily Williams (alumnae)
studied hip hop with famed choreographer Shane
Sparks (judge of So You Think You Can Dance
and America's Best Dance Crew, choreographer
of You Got Served) over the holiday break
and performed his choreography in the Orange
Bowl (January 2008).
December 2007

Katie O'Connor performed as an
angel in NECB's production The Nutcracker.
Jamie Grant, Jillian Grant,
and Tiffany Jurewicz performed as Carolers
in Dance Prism's Nutcracker. Jamie Grant also
danced with the touring company as a reindeer
and peppermint.
Summer 2007

Deanna Boucher, Ashley Belleville,
& Katie O'Connor completed the first
year of the Dance Teacher Preparation Course
at Dance Expressions Unlimited. The three year
summer program is designed to prepare students
to be assistants and teachers in the dance class.
Studies include: curricula, lesson plans, vocabulary,
pedagogy, imagery, technique, anatomy & kinesiology,
classroom management, effective teaching principles,
dance history, etc.
